Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library

Working closely with the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library Foundation, we developed a museum identity and a best in class museum experience — scheduled to open to the public in 2026.

LEARNING FROM TR, not just about tr

The design of the museum experiences seeks to let visitors learn from Theodore Roosevelt by transporting them to experience first-hand, immersive recreations of defining moments in his life — from his childhood growing up in NYC, to his time as a cowboy in North Dakota, to his modern Presidency and later years spent on Long Island. Visitors hear directly from TR and can talk to him through a number of interactive moments: learning about his personal life, his influences, the impact he made as president and how his legacy lives on today.

The 40k square foot exhibition space and museum — designed by renown architects Snøhetta — strives to meet the standards of the Living Building Challenge and to be an advocate for environmental action and conservation.

A brand identity as bold as the man himself

Theodore Roosevelt was a brilliant and compelling figure, whose actions left a lasting impression on the American public — and still resonate strongly with us today. The voice and character of Theodore Roosevelt are captured and embodied in the Visual Identity System for the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library. The foundational elements of the Identity System — the wordmark, initials stamps, color & typography, and use of image — all embody the mission, vision and values of the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library Foundation, and begin to create a consistent, recognizable and memorable brand expression.

Brand Identity

Theodore Roosevelt was a man of both action and words. The Wordmark pairs Dharma Gothic Bold with ITC Clearface Heavy, reflecting a duality of boldness and empathy inherent in Theodore Roosevelt’s compelling character.
