It’s summer and all I want to do it laze about in the sunshine, ignoring my jungle of a lawn, drinking pbr and stuffing my face with sweet potato fries.

So fortunately for me, I’ve recently rekindled my relationship with the most important of nature’s human-perceivable dimensions… TIME! What with growing up and all, I lately feel as if I’ve missed the pleasure of staring at an ant for hours on end, maybe enjoying a fictitious literary venture, or even perhaps riding the bike that stares so longingly at me when I walk to the basement to change the kitty litter. I’ve found time lately to do some of these things, not only do them – but ENJOY them – without feeling burdened by the monkey of my numerous to-do lists. It’s all about the synthesis, baby. Not to say that I’ve just given up on living my life in a responsible manner, but the idea of taking time to enjoy ones time seems to be making a difference; most importantly, I’ve noticed, in the way that I perceive and act upon things in my day-to-day life.

Oh but I guess I could be totally wrong in this instance, it’s quite possible. Who was it that said “Man is so made that he can only find relaxation from one kind of labor by taking up another.” Could this newly found appreciation for purely enjoying my existence be considered a labor, another of my spontaneous and obsessive compulsive trial-runs? Something to dwell upon and become bored of until the next interesting pursuit crosses my path? I do hope this isn’t the case; but who knows, maybe it was just the beer and fries talking.

So lately I have been entirely too busy to wash between my toes, let alone update this here digital plane of my conscious existence. Though I have been collecting things here and there along the way, in the hope that I would eventually have a spare second.

Well I got my spare second, or should I say entire weekend to do nothing but whatever the shit I want to do, finally. Blogular updates, twittering, facebook stalking, freelance work, puppy channel devising; all the old cyber haunts. My body may be numb from inactivity, but I soldier on! Through the plethora of tabs and videos and link upon link, I will eventually discover those sparkling nuggets of creative goodness and design conception that I should have thought of. Damnit. In other news, I found this girl living in my basement, running a letterpress studio. HAR HAR. But yeah, pretty cool new digs, and hoping she can teach me a few things; seeing as I & the other have a press/studio/fabcollab in the works… oh yes! To be continued…

HAPPY HOLIDAYS, YOUS GUYS

So, I’ve been really busy lately. I mean, who hasn’t, it’s chrismafestikwanzukah. But I am getting my act together again, soon. Not immediately, but soon. My grad school applications are smothering me and my time, so I haven’t gotten a chance to really dig through the interwebs and find some fantastic things to post. Smothering in the sense of gravy on biscuits (mmm), not baby in Kroger bag (eww). For the most part, my content compilation procedure is very methodical and organized. Though once in a while I will find something that perhaps doesn’t connect to the theme or I just feel like hoarding in my digital shoebox. Here, today, is one of those drafts. Exquisitely thrown together for the purpose of me not looking lazy. Thank you, and good night. Oh, and Happy New Year kidees, Lets hope we don’t break too many cheap wine glasses and drunkenly make out with our sister/brother/cousin. Yay!
